Program Schedule updated and Program Book published

Our program schedule and panelists bios have been updated as our program book goes to press - but you can view the book here too.

Improv at ConDor

This year at ConDor, we will feature a number of program items featuring forms of improvisation, testing the wits of our guests for your amusement.

Saturday evening will feature two improvisational panels. In the “Delphic Oracle”, a chorus of panelists will seek the wisdom of the gods to answer questions from the audience. Each member of the oracle will successively adding just one word to the answer with hilarious results. This will be followed by “Travels with my anti-matter”; stories of strange and wonderful travels created on the spot by our panelists incorporating suggestions of people, places and things supplied by the audience.

Then on Sunday afternoon, we have the privilege of presenting the improv comedy of. Doctor Who Live! with a different look at our favorite time traveler. Come enjoy these unscripted and uproarious contributions to a big finish for ConDor XX

Time Machine on Display

Be sure to visit the incredible Time Machine, brought to us by Richard
Ingalls, who originally built this full sized replica for the Salk
Institute, and has allowed ConDor to set it up for photo opportunities
in our very own Art Show!

Music Fantastic Concert

This music showcase will definitely take you there and back again, and again, and again! Our musicians will perform music from old Ireland, to modern day America, and to points beyond. Music that will appeal to the geeky nerdyness of many SF Fen.

The show will include the lovely Lynn Maudlin, the talented Greg Gross, the fine duo of Karen and Patty, the wonderful one person band, Hello, The Future, (in her ConDor debut), and those Geeky Musicians for Geeky People, Eben Brooks and Allison Lonsdale

Friday Concert Schedule now posted!

Writers Workshop

Due to a misunderstanding, the screenwriters workshop originally schedule this year on Sunday Morning has been cancelled. Given this, and emails already received requesting it, have been replaced with our usual writers workshop.

The workshop will be from 10 am - noon, Sunday March 10. Bring several copies of 5 - 6 pages of your writing. These will be shared with our professional guests running this event and your fellow participants to be read and constructively evaluated.

Dance Program Announced

Each night of the convention will feature period dancing for the enjoyment of our participants and the dance community in Southern California.

Friday will see the "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" ball from 8 pm to 11 pm. Dancing will be in the English Country Dance style.  All dances will be taught by experienced caller Chris Page.  Come in Regency period garb, or as a zombie, or as a Regency zombie or in any other costume or come as you are.  There will be a $5 evening membership fee for those who do not have full event or day passes to the convention.   Enjoy what we hope will be a new tradition in ConDor dances.

Saturday evening will once again feature a Victorian/Steampunk dance from 8 to 11 pm.  Dancing will include waltzes, quadrilles, reels and other dances of the Victorian period, taught by Russell Hedges.  There will be additional dance instruction Saturday afternoon at the convention for convention members.  Come in Victorian/Steampunk garb, formal attire or any other look that suits your fancy. Costuming is always encouraged at ConDor, but never required. Again, there will be a $5 evening membership fee for those who do not have full event or day passes to the convention.

Dealers' Room fills to record number with 26!

So come on buy, sorry, come-on-by, and visit some old friends and make some new ones in our Dealers' Room.

Hogwarts Programming at ConDor

There will be Hogwarts classes taught at ConDor this year.  Some of the subjects of these classes are Herbology, Computer Programming for Wizards, Fortune Telling for Felines, and Astronomy.  We have a number of popular professors returning to Hogwarts this year including Penelope Peacock, Joy Decarlo, and Kevin Weasley-Grazier.  Hogwarts classes are definitely kid friendly...and adults will enjoy them too, so put on your robes and bring your wand to the Hogwarts Continuing Education classes!
